The general information about letting a property is detailed below:

Arranging a Viewing

Whether you’re working all week or on weekends, with our “out the office hours,” service we try to accommodate most viewings.

Application & Referencing

Once you express an interest in a property, we will complete application and referencing checks. This will include a credit check; landlord; employment references. In some cases we may require a guarantor, whereby we would need to carry out further checks in order to approve your application.

Deposit Protection

Tenant Find deposits are protected in the governments Deposit Protection Scheme, and on registration we forward you a certificate. If you would like further information regarding the Deposit Service we use, please Click Here >>

Tenancy & Move In

A detailed inventory of the property is carried out, and on tenancy signup and move in this is signed by both parties. This is your evidence detailing the property condition and meter start readings before you move in. We provide you with a valid gas safety certificate and various other documentation, before you move in giving you a peace of mind that everything is taken care of.

Rental Payments

Rental payments are collected on a weekly or monthly basis, as detailed in your tenancy agreement. All rental payments are collected via standing order.

Utility Bills

Depending on your agreement, you may need to register with the utility suppliers in order to pay bills. Tenant Find will provide you with the details of the current utility suppliers, allowing you to register with them or a provider of your choice. If you require help with bill registrations our team is at hand to help.

The landlord is responsible for the building insurance of the property. The contents of the property is your responsibility and you will need to insure these privately. Tenant Find work with a range of insurance providers, and we could refer you to our specialist brokers who can provide you with the necessary contents cover.

Occupying the Property

Once you have moved in and settled down, we expect you to look after the property and ensure your rental payments are on time. If you report a repair, our repairs team are at hand to help you and ensure maintenance issues are resolved swiftly.
